Perched on a secluded location up a private palm-lined drive, the Luana Inn is surrounded by gracious grounds and spectacular ocean views. We offer five immaculate guest rooms for your vacation enjoyment, each with a private entrance, bath and kitchenette. Understated modern interiors offer serene relaxation.
Guest amenities include a vast ocean view pool lanai with hot tub and BBQ, and property-wide high speed internet access. Luana Inn is a full service bed and breakfast offering a full gourmet breakfast daily and daily maid service.
You’ll find Luana tucked away, hidden from the hustle and bustle of Kailua, yet right in the heart of the string of charming old villages that make up South Kona. We are on the sunny side of the Big Island of Hawaii, in a microclimate beloved for its perfect weather. Luana is a peaceful yet convenient base from which to explore the entire Big Island.
We stayed for five nights and wished we were staying longer. This is one of the best B&Bs we have every stayed in. Our room, the Moana, was spacious and comfortable. The view of the ocean every morning was fabulous. Morning breakfasts were delicious and included delightful conversation with other guests and, of course, Erin and Ken, who ensured that our stay was the best it could be.

At only three hundred feet above sea level in South Kona’s tranquil Kealakekua Bay Historical Reserve, Luana is just a short stroll from some of the most beautiful snorkeling waters in the Hawaiian Islands. We’re within walking distance of Napo’opo’o Pier and Manini beach— the gateway to extraordinary Kealakekua Bay and the Captain Cook Monument — and within minutes of quiet, sandy Ke'ei Beach and Pu’uhonua O Honaunau - the City of Refuge and Two Step.When you return to Luana after a day exploring the Big Island, enjoy a refreshing dip in the swimming pool or relax in the hot tub. Grill your fresh fish on the barbeque or enjoy a cocktail. You'll be soothed by radiant sunsets, caressed by gentle ocean breezes, and refreshed by an ebony sky filled with stars that sparkle like diamonds.
